New York Sunshine INSTALL TEAM & U.P.W.W. Get Workwear Ready This FW20
Dropping collaborative hi-vis garments and graphic T-shirts galore.
John Margaritis‘ creative collective New York Sunshine INSTALL TEAM and workwear brand U.P.W.W. have come together for a 10-piece capsule collection for Fall/Winter 2020.
The collection comes after Margaritis’ work with the likes of LeBron James, Heron Preston, and Virgil Abloh, once again taking on an industrial aesthetic with the help of U.P.W.W., which is known for its high-visibility workwear for air traffic controllers, traffic enforcement agents, and construction workers.
New York Sunshine INSTALL TEAM’s pieces include tan cargo pants that feature 3M taping on critical areas such as the knee, thigh, and waist, as well as a matching workwear jacket that sports “Lost Time Accident” signage on the rear. Elsewhere, the duo presents a long-sleeve T-shirt that features dual-branding along the arms and construction symbolism on the rear, as well as a hat to round things off.

In order to celebrate the collaborative capsule, Margaritis developed a three-piece art installation that was inspired by U.P.W.W. creative director Alessandro Simonetti‘s latest work — black-and-white photographs of chain-link fences shot in and around lower Manhattan construction sites from Alphabet City to the Financial District. The art installation is comprised of a light sculpture and two benches, which is joined by Simonetti’s limited-to-ten Xerox prints (36×52”) in editions of 3 and a 200-page book.
