Armored New Unit-2 From 'Evangelion 4.0' Film Is Now Available for Pre-Order

As fans continue to wait for the release of Evangelion 4.0, also known as Evangelion: 3.0+1.0, we now have a first look at the new form of Asuka Shikinami Langley’s Unit-02 Eva.

Thanks to a figure produced by toy manufacturer Kaiyodo, we have a detailed look at an armored iteration of the figure which comes complete with missile launchers and thrusters. Aside from allowing Unit-02 to lift off and fly, the shell provides the humanoid body Eva with additional protection and most likely some more other forms of offensive options.

The figure also reveals part of the new look of salvaged Unit-02, which has gone through a series of reworks (02’β/02’γ) after being critically damaged in the battle with the Tenth Angel. The new version of Unit-2 features a reimaged head and the right shoulder pylon looks to have elements taken from Shinji Ikari’s Unit-01.

Priced at ¥33,500 JPY (approximately $308 USD), the Evangelion 4.0 Armored New Unit-2 figure is available now for pre-order.
