20th Century Fox to Rebrand as "20th Century Studios" Following Disney Acquisition
Fox Searchlight Pictures will be known as “Searchlight Pictures.”
According to reports, following Disney‘s monumental purchase of 20th Century Fox, the company will be phasing out “Fox” from its new properties. The rebranding will see 20th Century Fox become “20th Century Studios” and Fox Searchlight Pictures become “Searchlight Pictures.”
The rebranding will see new logos begin to roll out with upcoming films, but other elements like the iconic 20th Century Fox opening will remain mostly with a “Fox”-less modified version. Disney is also reportedly deciding if it wants to carry the “Fox” phase-out to 20th Century Fox Television and Fox 21 Television Studios, which are not as prominent to audiences.
