Continuing his religious path, Kanye West and his Sunday Service Choir took to AWAKEN 2020 for another spiritual performance. Taking over the stage at the evangelical prayer rally in Tempe, Arizona, ‘Ye led his group through a range of moving songs performed in front of a massive crowd.

During a candid rendition of “Jesus Walks,” the rapper who has denounced secular music touched on the past struggles that have led him on his religious path. More specifically spotlighting his issues with alcohol and how God helped him overcome his alcoholism. Kanye also took the chance to explain to the crowd hos he is a Trojan horse for God, being a man who gained his fame by working for the devil, but has gone on to use his fame to spread Jesus’ gospel.

Check out Kanye West’s candid rendition of “Jesus Walks” above and the full Sunday Service Choir performance at AWAKEN 2020 below.
