A Closer Look at the COMME des GARÇONS x Stüssy 40th-Anniversary Varsity Jacket

Just ahead of the official release, we take a closer look at the anticipated COMME des GARÇONS x Stüssy 40th-Anniversary Varsity Jacket. From the images, we get a better look at the large chenille patches present on the arms and back — depicting signature items from both Stüssy and CDG (from a fragrance bottle to a bucket hat) and an XL patch of a CDG Surf Guy, respectively.
The varsity jacket is made from melton wool and features satin lining, and is ribbed at the collar, hem, and cuffs. The jacket is finished with tonal “CDG” embroidery at the left chest, just above embroidered COMME des GARÇONS and Stüssy branding in white. Highlighting the 40 years of Stüssy is the embroidery of the original Stüssy Chapter Store locations and the years “1980 – 2020.”
The COMME des GARÇONS x Stüssy 40th Anniversary Varsity Jacket is set to release at Stüssy Chapter Stores, Dover Street Market locations, CDG brand stores and online on CDGCDGCDG and Stüssy’s webstore January 15 at 10 a.m. PST for a price of $450 USD.
