Netflix Renews 'You' for Season 3
Shortly after airing the show’s second season.
Shortly after the debut of a very successful second season — which earned the show a 74 rating on Metacritic — Netflix‘s thriller series You has been renewed for season 3. Lead actor Penn Badgley will reprise his role as the troubled stalker Joe Goldberg alongside lead actress Victoria Pedretti, who will return as his love interest Love Quinn. Sara Gamble and Greg Berlanti will both return as producers.
For those unfamiliar, the first two seasons of You were based on Caroline Kepnes’ novels You, and sequel Hidden Bodies. The show follows a disturbed and overly-obsessed stalker Joe Goldberg, who sets his eyes on a customer named Guinevere Beck, and an ordinary crush quickly becomes something much more sinister. There’s no information right now on what material the third season’s plot will be based on, but Kepnes is currently working on a third and fourth book to the series.
Netflix has yet to announce an official release date for the third season of You, so fans of the series should definitely stay tuned as more updates roll in.
Elsewhere in entertainment, Adam Sandler’s Uncut Gems is coming to Netflix soon.
