YSTRDY'S TMRRW Riffs on Grunge and Americana for SS20
Breezy warm-weather layers.

YSTRDY’S TMRRW has returned with its SS20 lookbook, presenting a range of loosely-tailored garments that riff on Americana and grunge inspirations, imbedded with a contemporary twist. From light mid-layers to light outerwear, the lookbook is packed with clean-cut wardrobe essentials like checkered parkas and knit sweaters, mixed with bold statement pieces — asymmetrical floral button-ups, smiley-face bandanas, graphic hoodies, leather shirts and more.
One noteworthy piece is a long coat with a checkered red-white-blue pattern modeled after a Chinese red-white-blue bag. It comes with a delicate woolen texture, yet offers enough stiffness for a structured build. The piece comes with cream white buttons at the center, sleeve cuffs and back vent as complementary accents against the bright plaid. As a finishing touch, the jacket sees two waist pockets and an elastic cinch cord at the back waist for a semi-fitted look — the same pattern is emblazoned over matching pants. Another highlight is a reconstructed blue button-up shirt, with panels made from four different cuts of upcycled fabrics. A slew of Hawaiian shirt motifs is juxtaposed with solid navy panels, detailed with white top-stitching, to offset the busy colors. Other garments like a lightly washed denim biker jacket, seersucker suits, mac coats, graphic tees and thin anoraks round up the expansive assemblage.
