With the vehicle “completely restored to the condition it was in before his death.”
The BMW 750iL Tupac Shakur was supposedly shot in is hitting an auction for a whopping $1.75 million USD.
According to a listing by Celebrity Cars Las Vegas, the automobile is the actual vehicle the late rapper was riding in after leaving a boxing match at the MGM Grand in 1996. “It was driven by Suge Knight and originally leased by Death Row Records. This is the first time this car has ever been up for sale or on display since his death in 1996,” the listing confirms. The car was previously listed with Moments In Time for $1.5 million USD but was apparently never sold.
The company notes that the BMW has been “completely restored to the condition it was in before his death” and has received a new coat of paint, along with wheel replacements with the same make during Tupac’s ownership. The vehicle also has a small indentation that Celebrity Cars Las Vegas believes to be one of the bullet holes from that night. Aside from that, however, the car “runs great and is in excellent condition.”
Pac was gunned down on September 13, 1996 after leaving the Bruce Seldon vs. Mike Tyson boxing match at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The rapper was hit once in the arm, once in the thigh and twice in the chest, one of the bullets entering his right lung. He died from internal bleeding while in the ICU with his official cause of death reading respiratory failure and cardiopulmonary arrest in connection with multiple gunshot wounds. He was 25 years old.
