Rapsody is revisiting her critically-acclaimed studio album Eve with the release of a music video for “Afeni,” assisted by PJ Morton and a sample from Tupac‘s “Keep Ya Head Up.” Channelling the same message conveyed by the late rapper, Rapsody details the hardships of women and celebrates their strength. The independence of women is visualized in the Cam Be-directed music video, highlighting motherhood and the importance of a mother-and-son relationship.
