The Hour Glass and TAG Heuer Collaborate on an Anniversary Limited Edition Monaco
Blacked out with a contrasting dial.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Swiss luxury watchmaker TAG Heuer‘s Monaco watch and the company has been celebrating with a range of anniversary limited editions. Continuing on from its third celebratory model which pays tribute to ’90s, the Swiss brand is releasing a fourth timepiece — created in collaboration with luxury watch retailer The Hour Glass, who is coincidentally celebrating its 40th anniversary as well.
Unlike the previous three models, the fourth edition is entirely blacked out save the champagne-toned dial, which sits comfortably under a domed, beveled sapphire crystal. The case is constructed with black PVD steel and is an homage to the Dark Lord Monaco from 1974. The black scheme extends onto the tips of the polished steel hour and minute hands, as well as the blackminute tracker, a black-framed date window and the vintage Heuer “MONACO AUTOMATIC CHRONOGRAPH” logo by the 12 and 6 o’clock positions. Tying the watch together is a black perforated calfskin strap coupled with a PVD steel folding clasp of the same tone.
For those interested, The Hour Glass x TAG Heuer 50th Anniversary Monaco is now available at The Hour Glass, coming with a price tag of $6,090 USD. Act fast though, as the timepiece is limited to only 50 pieces.
Elsewhere in watches, here are the three watches that can help you survive an apocalypse.
