The 'SpongeBob SquarePants' x Nike Kyrie 5 Appear in a “Pineapple House” Colorway
Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?
With every main SpongeBob SquarePants character already receiving their own Kyrie 5 model, Nike and Kyrie Irving are expanding the collaborative series with a “Pineapple House” iteration. Taking design cues from the titular character’s famed home on 124 Conch Street, the upper arrives in hues of tan to create the lopsided pineapple print and contrasted by leafy green lace shields similar to the house’s roof. Ankle Swooshes can be found in both shades of blue and metallic silver to represent the pineapple’s port window and bent chimney respectively, with additional branding hits landing on the Kyrie Irving tongue tag and the stitched nautical wheel on the heel. The basketball silhouette is tied together with blue laces, finally resting on a speckled midsole to honor the sandy shores of Bikini Bottom.
The SpongeBob SquarePants x Nike Kyrie 5 “Pineapple House” is expected to drop October 24 on nike.com and select retailers for $130 USD.
