Nike Updates Mercurial Football Boots for World's Fastest Players
To be worn by Mbappé, Ronaldo & Sam Kerr.

Nike has returned to its iconic Mercurial line of football boots for an all-new series designed for the world’s fastest players. Titled the Mercurial Dream Speed, the series will run for the several seasons, with new designs being unveiled one at a time over that period.
The first installment of the Mercurial Dream Spreed series comes in a bold blue colorway complete with a metallic finish, sparkling laces and a faded Swoosh. The stand-out design of the boot is its upper, which features technical Mercurial details including perforation patterns, registration marks, crop lines, color codes, a scale ruler and other graphic elements about how the boot is constructed.
The boot is then finished with 10A and 73P color codes — representing white and “Barely Volt” from Nike’s logo — as well as an iridescent 001 logo and 44.7 km/h, a dream speed for any footballer.
Take a look at the first Nike Mercurial Dream Speed in the gallery above. The boot will release via the Nike web store on October 3, and will be worn on-pitch by footballers including Kylian Mbappé, Cristiano Ronaldo and Australia’s Sam Kerr.
