Air Jordan 3 "New York Knicks" Celebrates MJ and Ewing's 1988 Battle
Both players dropped 40, but Jordan walked away with a W.

Jordan Brand is celebrating one of Michael Jordan‘s many wins against the New York Knicks with its latest Air Jordan 3 colorway. The AJ3 in question sports a white, orange and blue upper which is color-blocked in the usual AJ3 fashion, nodding to the April 8, 1988 game in which Jordan’s 40 points topped Ewing’s 42, as the bulls went on to win 131-122.
This numerical date has been included on the inside tongue tab, while other design elements continue the 1988 aesthetic. The colorway is bold and retro-tinged, brightly offsetting the stark white tumbled leather and signature elephant print panels on the heel, toe and eyestay.
Blue has been used to highlight the eyelets, lining and the outsole, while orange is seen more frequently on the wraparound midsole-to-heel clip, sole unit, Jumpman tongue logo and a number of smaller eyelets. The celebratory pair will release in both men’s and big kids’ sizes for $190 USD and $140 USD respectively. Pick up a pair via Nike stockists or online on September 14 at 3 PM.
