HAY Opens New 3,500 Square Foot Chicago Store
Offering a plethora of home goods to Chicagoans and tourists alike.

Copenhagen-based home goods and furniture brand HAY is expanding its North American retail presence today with the opening of a new store in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. The new 3,500 square foot store marks the brand’s third US retail space, following Costa Mesa, California and Portland, Oregon.
HAY Chicago’s layout, designed by the brand’s creative team, is divided into distinct vignettes that highlight the brand’s variety of home goods in their most natural settings. A support fixture designed in collaboration with German designer Stefan Diez divides the various environments.
HAY’s New Order shelving and storage system helps organize items throughout the space in addition to HAY’s furniture pieces, which are used to display home goods and lighting in ways that mimic real life. Visitors are encouraged to interact with the furniture and products as if the space were their own home.
“We’re thrilled to expand our footprint in Chicago, one of the most celebrated design hubs in the country,” says HAY Co-Founder Rolf Hay. “We’re continuously searching for ways to weave our story into other markets that appreciate design and craftsmanship. We’re confident our aesthetic will resonate with Chicagoans.”
HAY Chicago will open September 26 at the address below.
