Canada Goose Launches Elevated BRANTA Collection Inspired by Glaciers
Bringing contemporary style to a creative vision.

Canada Goose has announced the launch of BRANTA — the brand’s new limited-edition collection that showcases elevated designs through creative partners. BRANTA focuses on the self-exploration that comes from connecting with the natural world while developing pieces that remain versatile and adaptable.
The Fall/Winter 2019 collection showcases four different styles of jackets centered around the theme “Glacial Shifts.” Inspired by artist Diane Burko, whose work documents the disappearance of glaciers through large-scale photographs and paintings, Canada Goose commissioned Polymétis to create a visual representation of this phenomena.
Monument to Arctic Phenomena is a geometric installation that allows a skyline of pyramids to cross a flat landscape; from above, the BRANTA print is unveiled. Two motifs from this print are used throughout the collection: one is inspired by the blue hues of the water, and the other, from the cracks and layers of ice.
The unisex Viedma 4-in-1 Coat can be worn together for a sophisticated yet protected look. Worn deconstructed, a lightweight wool jacket and reversible quilted down jacket offer two different looks. For a more streamlined silhouette, the Atavist Coat is lined with an ice-inspired print and made of Loro Piana wool. The Leduc and Berendon Parkas are reversible jackets with quilting on one side and an ice-inspired or blue-hued print on the other. The refined finishes, discreet branding, and sleek detailing show Canada Goose’s move towards contemporary styling with a creative vision in mind.
Take a look at the Fall/Winter 2019 jackets above and watch the video that shows the inspiration behind BRANTA’s prints below. The collection, which ranges from $1,395 to $2,695 USD, will be available starting October 4 on Canada Goose’s website and at select retail stores.
