DJ Snake's Pardon My French Links up with Mizuno for an Africa-Inspired Capsule
Warm tones reminiscent of the savanna sunset.
Multi-platinum French producer DJ Snake has linked his personal label Pardon My French up with Japanese sportswear brand Mizuno for a vibrant, warm-toned capsule.
The two labels’ first collaboration features a full tracksuit — an outfit the musician finds himself most comfortable wearing on stage — and a special colorway for the Wave Rider 1, one of the Japanese brand’s most iconic running silhouettes. Inspired by the vast mix of cultures of the African continent, colors for the capsule flow from blacks and oranges to blues and whites, all based on a yellow canvas, evoking images of the sunsets of savanna, while its patterns pay tribute to the creative batiks of African fabric artisans.
“We are currently in an era where fashion puts a lot of emphasis on travel and the mix of cultures, so we took the choice to pay tribute to the African continent with a colorful design inspired by clothing that I also love to wear and which also allows us to put forward a culture rich in inspiration for everyone, whether in music or ready-to-wear apparel,” says DJ Snake.
The Pardon My French x Mizuno capsule will be available September 20 in France. For now, take a detailed look at the collaborative effort above, and stay tuned for more release and pricing details to come.
