The Vanqraft VQ16 Is a Luxury Boat-Sized Jet Ski
Packing 200 horsepower.
Dutch luxury yachtmaker Vanquish Yachts has created what the company calls “a crossover between a superyacht tender and a water scooter.”
Measuring in at 16 feet long, the luxury boat can pack five passengers and a driver, but unlike conventional speedboats, it’s designed to drive like a jet ski. Its standard version packs a 1.8L Yamaha engine pushing out 200 horsepower, allowing the crossover to reach speeds of more than 40 knots. If you’re craving to go faster, the supercharged Veloce version will raise your maximum speed to a whopping 50 knots.
The hull has been constructed from fiberglass to keep things lightweight, and was collaboratively designed by two Dutch naval experts, Guido de Groot Design and Studio Delta. On deck, two seats are positioned up front, with the helm seat running down the center — just like a jet ski — and padded benches rounding off the rear.
For the seafaring enthusiasts out there, Vanquish Yachts is now taking orders for the Vanqraft VQ16. Pricing is upon request, so head over to the company’s website to learn more now.
