Video artist Douglas Gordon has opened an expansive exhibition at ARoS Aarhus Art Museum in Denmark, titled “In My Shadow.” The installation includes some of Gordon’s most important works, including a new installation, photographs and various films.
Phrases like “I Have Discovered the Truth” and “I Still Believe in Miracles” are plastered on the walls throughout the museum, highlighting his affinity for using text to offer commentary. There are also videos that spotlight some of Gordon’s pieces that were conceived with other artists, including musician Rufus Wainwright and Philippe Parreno.
The exhibition, on view now at ARoS, is one of Gordon’s largest shows in Europe to date. It will run until February 16, 2020.
