Suicoke Celebrates 80 Years of Batman With Collaborative KAW Sandal

Japanese sandal stalwarts Suicoke have teamed up with Batman to celebrate the superhero’s 80th anniversary, reworking its KAW model and developing an installation in Paris.

The KAW model has been updated with a strap emblazoned with the Batman “Bat Wing” logo, and comes in a fitting shade of black which is synonymous with both Suicoke and the comic icon. The logo is embroidered and sits atop the nylon upper, while signature Suicoke design elements such as the strap branding, chunky hardware and the Vibram outsole are left in place.

Rounding out the collaborative pair is a special-edition box, which sports the Batman title logo and the superhero himself on a black background. To celebrate the release of these KAW sandals, and the comic’s 80th anniversary, there is a Gotham City installation being held by Warner Bros. France and Galeries Lafayette Champs-Élysées, where you can pick up the collaborative pair alongside other Batman-branded goods. The installation will run until September 22, 2019.
