New Balance Made in USA 990v5 Receives a Stealthy Triple Black Makeover
Tonal shades over premium textiles.
Following its previous collaboration with Engineered Garments, New Balance is back, presenting a stealthy triple-black iteration of the 990v5. The silhouette has a legacy that spans just over three decades. Domestically manufactured, each model is crafted by hand, maintaining premium quality with each piece.
Though this particular sneaker is rendered in one single tone, its dynamic blend of nubuck, mesh and rubber uppers offer depth to its sleek outlook. Stamped with “Made In USA” branding at the tongue, breathable mesh fabrics appear along the toebox and upper collars. “990” is embroidered at the lateral rear quarter, while New Balance’s “N” logo is sewn over the sidewalls. As a finishing note, the sneaker comes with a tonal ENCAP midsole and an Ortholite footbed that offers ergonomic comfort with each stride.
The New Balance Made in USA 990v5 “Black” is currently available at newbalance.com for $175 USD.
