Following on from releasing the trailer back in April and new images in August, Netflix has officially confirmed that the new series of Top Boy will be releasing on September 13. The show initially ran on British network Channel 4 from 2011 to 2013 before being abruptly cancelled. Since then, Top Boy has gone on to gain a cult following including Drake, who is an executive producer on Netflix’s new series.

Top Boy will see Kano and Ashley Walters reprise their roles as Sully and Dushane, while Little Simz, Dave and Micheal Ward will also player major parts in the new series. According to Netflix, the series will see Dushane return to London and partner with Sully to reclaim his place at the top of the drug market. Awaiting them both on their return from exile is Jamie (Micheal Ward), who is described as “young, hungry and ruthless.”
