Netflix Games Reveals 2024 Video Game Releases

Since its inception in 1997, Netflix has evolved with the times — pioneering the shift from renting movies physically to offering a digital library of titles to stream at the press of a button. While it’s one of many streamers to exist nowadays, the company has continued to take new approaches with its business model, with the launch of Netflix Games in 2021 as its big move in the mobile video game space.

Last year, Netflix capitalized on the Grand Theft Auto craze following the announcement of Grand Theft Auto 6 by releasing Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. Now, it has divulged its 2024 plans by announcing 16 titles coming to the platform. Notables include the previously-discussed Squid Game-based title and a game themed around the recently-released film Rebel Moon. Beyond that, the award-winning dungeon crawler Hades is coming exclusively to iOS for Netflix members, while fans will also be able to enjoy Sonic Mania Plus on mobile for the first time. At the time of writing, 88 video games are available for play now via the Netflix Games platform, with over 90 currently in development. For the 2024 catalog of releases, Netflix Games has yet to confirm any specifics regarding the launch date of any of the titles so stay tuned for updates as we await individual announcements from the program.
