A Kind of Guise Travels to Albania for SS24
Another masterclass from the German label.

A Kind of Guise (AKOG) is one of those few brands that you can always expect to deliver from season to season. Not that you necessarily need to buy a garment with each new collection — as each product is created in small batches to ensure high quality to last the long haul, but the German brand has mastered a formula of bridging timeless silhouettes with modern tailoring that keeps customers coming for more.
Dubbed Almafi, the collection makes a slight allusion to Italy’s Amalfi coast, but is in fact inspired by Albanian folklore — particularly the Albanian Riviera. The latest line sheds the bulky outerwear for the sunnier months that lie ahead. Standout pieces include the Jetmir Jacket, which features bronze-colored roses overlaid on a jacquard fabric, inspired by Albanian curtain patterns. For a comfier fit, the Pirro Knit Polo is crafted in a soft cotton material, featuring a buttonless collar for a relaxed fit. Staying on the jacket front, the Dragan Denim Jacket is made with Portuguese cotton and the Ozren Overthrow Jacket, available in clay and Adriatic navy, is a great spring-summer alternative, when the temperature unexpectedly drops.
