For her latest music video, POW Recordings artist Ness Nite is serving up an animated vignette for her single “GUCCIPRADA.” Debuted alongside an animation put together by visual artist SUPA FLOWA, “GUCCIPRADA” features production cooked up by Mike Frey and was mixed and mastered by Alex Tumay.
“When i wrote this song i was feeling very inadequate as a partner: emotionally, financially, etc. It sort of came out as an anti-reality- by no means was I or am I in a position to be taking care of someone in either capacity,” Ness Nite tells us, revealing the real-life inspirations and narrative behind “GUCCIPRADA.” “As much as I’m tempted to say the story of “gucciprada” is an idealistic one, it’s not. It’s tainted by deflection (“she wanna know what’s underneath the gucci belt, know inner peace) and distraction (“know she ‘gone drip like a faucet with a lick & flick of my wrist, imma make her feel like gucci prada, chanel, louis vuitton, ain’t nothin but another one). I just wanted the video to bring out this fake dream world, having it animated by the extremely talented Supa Flowa helped remove it even further from reality.”
You can take a look at Ness Nite’s new music video for “GUCCIPRADA” above. Notably, “GUCCIPRADA” comes to us just a week after Ness Nite contributed her booboo- and Kamilla Love-assisted spin on Dua Saleh’s “Kickflip” record for Nur – The Remixes.
