INDICE STUDIO's FW19 Collection Is Inspired by Supernatural Phenomena
Experienced by the brand itself.
Taiwanese label INDICE STUDIO announces its Fall/Winter 2019 collection, titled “Abracadabra.” Influenced by supernatural phenomena that happened on set during a capsule photoshoot, INDICE STUDIO offers a playful collection for the upcoming season while taking inspiration from the Netflix series Stranger Things.
“Abracadabra” includes a variety of jackets, two-toned pants and graphic tees, featuring deconstructed garments with semi-transparent fabrics. Flashlight detailing informs jackets and select pieces are embellished with small talismans to offer protection. T-shirts take on eerie graphics; some use ouija board motifs while others depict psychokinesis, referencing “Eleven” from Stranger Things on the back of the shirts. The collection navigates the curiosity and fear surrounding supernatural phenomena, yet the understanding that comes from accepting what happens and allowing the truth to reveal itself.
INDICE STUDIO wants to serve as social commentary, allowing people to look beyond what is given to them. As the 21st century is seen as an era of rapid technological progression alongside global optimism towards these news advancements, the brand wants to raise awareness of the risks that come from being so connected to these processes. Interpreting the concepts from a child’s perspective, INDICE STUDIO Studio hopes to bring back curiosity to the world instead of blindly following technological development.
The Fall/Winter 2019 collection will be available on INDICE STUDIO’s website in September.
