A.G. Cook Releases New "Lifeline" Single With Accompanying Video
The first single from the PC Music founder since 2016.
British music producer A.G. Cook has shared his first single since 2016, “Lifeline,” with an accompanying video.
“Lifeline” showcases the head of record label PC Music’s own vocals along with those of Caroline Polachek. The video includes a contraption that A.G. Cook built himself, according to Instagram, which begins to pulsate and grow as the song plays. Stationary black and white backgrounds transform into changing colors with graphics that come alive.
In a released statement on A.G. Cook’s new single, the producer explains:
The melody at the core of “Lifeline” is this repetitive, insistent and slightly selfish earworm that I’ve been living with for too long now. In the end, the easiest way to deal with it was to leave it in a warm petri dish and let it do its own thing. A few years later I found myself with this young, unstable song, and somehow nurtured it to become a power ballad. The track has a life of its own, but like most children and laboratory experiments, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
