TisaKorean Gets Extra-Soapy in Visual for "Spongy"

The rapper doesn’t skimp on his signatures moves, either.

Ultra-soapy Texas rapper TisaKorean has returned with a new music video for his latest single “Spongy.” Offering up a weirdly unique sound, it’s no question that the fast-rising artist has turned the current hip-hop and rap music scene on its head — he’s dance-focused, uses soap emojis, asks his fans what type of soap they use, and raps in a weirdly dissonant manner. Propelling his flow over sporadic and scant beats that sound detached from the current era of hip-hop sonics, TisaKorean somehow manages to make it work.

The video for “Spongy” remains set in a house, moving from the rapper dancing around in the kitchen to “hopping in the tub” to take a soapy bath while still fully clothed. This is all met with playful computer-generated graphics that occasionally appear on-screen. TisaKorean will be playing at Rolling Loud later this Fall.

You can watch Tisakorea’s visual for “Spongy” above.
