nanamica and Dr. Martens Craft a Modern Classic: Camberwell MIE
Designed with nautical inspirations.

Following its last FW19 collection, Japanese label nanamica has returned with a collaboration with Dr. Martens, offering up its understated design sensibilities in the form of a newly crafted silhouette dubbed “Camberwell.” The footwear piece is set on a premium leather and air-cushion foundation in palettes of black and brown.
The Camberwell is a direct departure from the traditional plain toe designs of previous Dr. Martens models and was heavily influenced by nautical inspirations. Constructed using fine-grain leather, the silhouette is made to age well as it incorporates one of the most durable footwear textiles. Complete with pronounced quarters and a low vamp, stitching at the front toe cap gives the shoe a distinctively dressy outlook. Dr. Marten’s iconic air-cushioned sole is molded with new ziggy treading for added grip. Other details like the tonal pull tabs as well as contrasting laces and white stitching round up the collaborative silhouette.
The nanamica x Dr. Martens Camberwell MIE in “Black” and “Brown” are set to release on nanamica.com and at select retailers like SSENSE.COM for $280 USD on July 27.
Elsewhere, Daidō Moriyama and WACKO MARIA have rejoined on a series of black-and-white printed pieces.
