Marvel Announces 'Blade' Reboot Starring Mahershala Ali
A timely return.

Marvel Studios announced major news surrounding its Phase 4 movie lineup at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 this past Saturday. However, the biggest surprise is a new upcoming reboot of Blade starring Mahershala Ali.
Release details and other castings have yet to be announced, but there is a chance that the film will see a cinematic release alongside an appearance on Disney Plus. The timely return marks fifteen years since the last Blade trilogy movie hit theaters — Wesley Snipes helmed the human-vampire hybrid who protected mankind by hunting vampires.
Blade isn’t Ali’s first role in Marvel. He also spearhead the villainous role of Cornell Stokes a.k.a. Cottonmouth in Netflix’s Luke Cage, which is kind of a part of the MCU.
Nevertheless, stay tuned for more details surrounding the Blade reboot and check out more of our San Diego Comic-Con 2019 coverage here.
