Wale Drops Latest Single "Gemini (2 Sides)"
The second single released ahead of his upcoming sixth LP.
As a follow up to “Daylight,” a boom-bap infused track Wale dropped last week, the D.C.-based rapper has returned with his latest song “Gemini (2 Sides).”
Set at a moderate mid-tempo rhythm, the track starts off with light piano, spaced-out synths and crisp snares that gets joined by Wale’s verse. This time around, the instrumentals are kept minimal to place an emphasis on Wale’s rich lyricism. The rapper goes into detail about a particular woman who is having trouble reading, in which he feels she might be hiding her love for him. He mentions “A Gemini is the only sign with double sides,” “tried to figure you out, but you kind of tricky” and “Poised getting coins but you’re always on the fence with me.” Produced by DJ Sued, the track marks the second single the rapper has put out ahead of his upcoming sixth LP.
