Trailer for 'Pokémon Masters' Showcases Real-Time 3v3 Trainer Battles
Featuring fan-favorite trainers from all regions.
Following its announcement last month, The Pokémon Company has finally released a new trailer detailing information on the upcoming Pokémon Masters mobile game. Expected to arrive this summer, the anime trailer showcases several familiar faces from the Pokémon game franchise, including fan favorites Blue and Red.
The game takes place on the artificial island of Pasio, where illustrious trainers from all regions get together in teams of three to take each other on for Gym Badges. Each trailer provides their own single signature Pocket Monster, for instance teaming with Lance ensures a Dragonite on your team, Misty provides Staryu in a feature called “sync pairs.”
There is no catching Pokémon in this title. Instead, players create teams of three using this feature to battle others in a mission to become Pokémon Master League champion. The title isn’t turn-based either, as players will battle in real-time with a gauge determining when Pokeémon get to attack. Some trainers even have unique abilities in a battle that can provide healing and support for partners.
In other entertainment news, there’s a new One Punch Man game in the works.
It’s time for all-star team battles!
Familiar faces await you in #PokemonMasters. Which of these Trainers do you want to take on? https://t.co/IM2BejxtcF pic.twitter.com/bDrsTl53La
