New Balance Unveils Brand-New X-Racer Silhouette
Launching in three colorways.

After introducing its X-90 sneaker last summer, New Balance is officially extending the range with the all-new X-Racer silhouette as the next in line. Like its counterpart, the upcoming model has been designed with details from some of the brand’s classic shoes of the past, this time infusing components from kicks that were created in the ’90s and ’00s while adding contemporary elements for a modernized take.
Launching in three fresh colorways, this edition features a mesh upper with paneled overlays that directly mimic some of the label’s archival kicks — the M1200, RC205 and M1000. To bring in an updated feel, New Balance has equipped the footwear with the same tread outsole as its 1400 model, as well the brand’s signature ABZORB midsole for enhanced cushioning.
Within the trio, an all-over teal version with lavender pops marks the brightest of the pack, while a white style offers a more neutral look and uses sporadic traces of the same bluish hue. Rounding it out with a darker approach is a navy and black mash-up, which has been dotted with orange and purple details for a bit of color. Each sneaker is finished off with the “N” logo on the side panels and an “NB” emblem on the back heel for branding.
Priced at $90 USD, look out for the X-Racer to land at New Balance’s webstore on July 1.
