HAVEN Spotlights NEIGHBORHOOD & WTAPS in SS19 Editorial
Warm-weather offerings from the Japanese staples.

HAVEN‘s latest editorial features the warm-weather offerings from two of Japan’s most celebrated OG streetwear labels. Often mentioned in the same breath, the two labels, helmed by Shinsuke Takizawa (NBHD) and Tetsu TET Nishiyama (WTAPS), have long carved out and defined their interest in Americana and military garb, but with a Japanese twist — think double rider jakets, olive drab, rat rods and denim all rolled into one and then rehashed with a high level of detail and Eastern influence — this is what has helped garner a devote following for two names even through tumultuous times.
It is this detail that HAVEN have selected in highlighting for its SS19 editorial. Shown is a range of light outerwear, caps, shorts and shirts — all featuring each of the brands’ signature style cues. Customary details like patchwork construction, embroidery, Japanese iconography are all mixed in with more recent gestures such as tie-dye washes and bold neon colors. Key items include the WTAPS League SS / Shirt. ($306 USD), the NEIGHBORHOOD Mil-Hanten . PW / C-JKT ($1,033 USD), the NEIGHBORHOOD Aloha . Panther / LY-Shirt ($216 USD), and the NEIGHBORHOOD MIL – Souvenir / RC-Shirt ($328 USD).
