Coolrain Lee Immortalizes Salehe Bembury in Latest Miniature Figure

Back when the Nike x Virgil Abloh x Nike “THE TEN” collection was just releasing, toy artist Coolrain Lee took it upon himself to create a tiny figure of Virgil Abloh next to a pair of miniature Air Jordan 1s from the collection. With other tributes like the Jerry Lorenzo and Scottie Pippens figures to release, the Seoul-based artist has turned to a miniature Salehe Bembury as his latest tribute.
This figure of Salehe Bembury is handmade and characterizes the designer by how he’s usually dressed, while showing, of course, a tiny pair of the Versace Chain Reaction Sneakers. The model wears Bembury’s signature grey beanie with one of Supreme’s indigo kung-fu jacket from SS14. A bootleg Nike “Frank” tee is layered under, while a pair of tie-dyed sweatpants appear below. Matched with black charcoal socks, the shoes are painted in the same tones as the Chain Reaction “Leopard” colorway, with all the details of the original sneaker, even its Cuban-link-shaped outsole.
