Band of Outsiders Enlists This Is Amit & Age Official for Poolside-Ready SS20 Collection
Surreal drawings rework Summer-ready staples.
Band of Outsiders has given a full look at its Spring/Summer 2020 collection following its recent London Fashion Week: Men’s show. The lookbook also showcases an upcoming footwear collaboration with Korean brand Age Official, which is known for its unique sculpted sole unit design.
The SS20 collection utilizes hues of coral, washed yellow and blue that draw inspiration from sitting beside the swimming pool. Fabrics such as linen and cotton create flowing, relaxed silhouettes on standout pieces including a two-piece tan suit that comes with boxy shorts and a doodled blazer.
Band of Outsiders also enlisted Brooklyn artist Amit Greenberg — aka This is Amit — to rework a number of pieces in the collection, delivering looks such as the white shirt and matching trousers adorned with surreal characters, cars, flowers and more that exude the perfect pool party. The drawings are inspired by the risograph technique, a method that is similar to screen printing yet provides high-quality images. Rounding off the collection is a selection of T-shirts, knitted sweaters, jackets, trousers, caps and bags, which you can see in the Band of Outsiders SS20 lookbook above.
