After releasing exclusively to the Amsterdam region last month, Patta and Jordan Brand have announced a wider release date for the Air Jordan 7 collaboration. As well as the global launch of the sneaker, the two brands have also unveiled a full apparel in a lookbook starring PSG and Brazil footballer Neymar Jr.
The apparel collection includes a tracksuit, shorts, T-shirt and boonie hat, all of which comes in an eye-catching archival print complete with “Team Patta” branding and the label’s signature script logo.
Speaking about the collaboration, Patta’s Guillaume Schmidt explained the relevance of the Jordan 7, which was first launched in 1992: “It was a golden era for hip-hop and a big year for me, a lot of very important albums that I still carry with me came out between ‘92 and ‘96. And aesthetically, those years had such colourful imagery and strong connections to black empowerment. The VII and its geometric patterns also have a reference to Africa.”
Take a look at the collection in the gallery above, and expect the collection to arrive at Patta’s London and Amsterdam locations and web store on May 18. The full Patta x Jordan Brand collection will then hit the SNKRS app and select retailers on June 15.
