Rivaling the industries top manufacturers.
OnePlus has announced two of its new flagship smartphones: the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. The OnePlus 7 (£499 EUR/$559 USD) and the OnePlus 7 Pro (£649 EUR/$669 USD) showcase a 6.41 and 6.67-inch screen, respectively, and AMOLED displays.
The OnePlus 7 Pro comes stock with a 90hz screen, allowing for increased scrolling and feedback. Both share Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processors, the base model can harbor up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM while the Pro model totes upt0 12gb, 128/256GB of UFS 3.0 storage, and rear-facing 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 cameras. The 48MP full resolution capture mode of the sensor is only available on the Pro with its new tri-camera set up.
While the OnePlus 7’s main camera features an f/1.7 aperture lens, the Pro version gets a wider f/1.6 setup alongside an 8MP 1.0µm telephoto module and a wide-angle lens with a 16MP sensor and an f/2.4 aperture. The camera features optical image stabilization and a secondary 5-megapixel depth sensor for portrait mode shots. The OnePlus 7 Pro has a full-faced display while the OnePlus 7 utilizes a teardrop notch where the Pro’s pop-up camera surfaces. Both handhelds are encased in Gorilla Glass, dual stereo speakers, and ultrafast in-display optical fingerprint sensors.
OnePlus flew onto the smartphone scene last year with its impeccably well price-to-performance flagship smartphone, the 6 and 6T. Many regarded them as the best phone of the year.
Although the standard OnePlus 7 will only be available in the UK and India this June, the OnePlus 7 is available worldwide today, with a special price available for stateside T-Mobile customers.
