While dialogue with Virgil Abloh on issues surrounding industry racism continues, other conversations about eco-friendly fashion have been responsible for spurring innovation and a plethora of design solutions. Born out of this, is London-based label FARNOL, which has recently unveiled its sustainable collection for Spring/Summer 2019.

FARNOL’s warm-weather lineup sees a concise assemblage of minimalist pieces with a focus on wide cuts, light colors and organic fabrics. Classic silhouettes like Cuban-style bowling shirts, hooded jackets, sweaters, chinos and shorts are colored in muted palettes of midnight blue, black, charcoal grey, stone and ecru. Highlighted in the range is the trans-seasonal boucle jacket, marbled in grey as well as a hooded jacket that’s made from lightweight nylon. Other key pieces in the collection use renewable fabrics that are produced in the UK. Jersey styles in organic cotton are put together to reflect FARNOL’s ethos for responsible manufacturing, lowering overall waste and carbon footprint.

The SS19 collection will be available soon on FARNOL’s website in the warmer days ahead.
