Carhartt WIP Heads to Tunisia for Chndy & Chebmoha-Shot SS19 Campaign
Contrasting brutalist architecture with coastal clifftop scenery.
Carhartt WIP has teamed up with Gulf-based collective Chndy & Chebmoha once again to capture its Spring/Summer 2019 collection, this time around heading to a landscape of their childhood — Tunisia.
In the campaign, the duo visited Cape Angela, one of the northernmost points of Africa, the cliffs that overlook the Mediterranean waters of El Haouaria, and Tunis, the country’s capital. The duo has traveled far and wide with their work, having previously shot Carhartt WIP’s SS17 campaign in Kuwait and working with the likes of Louis Vuitton, Nike, Vans and Gucci.
For SS19, Chndy & Chebmoha capture pieces against the backdrop of the brutalist Hotel du Lac in Tunis, as well as the northern town of Sidi Bou Said and the downtown streets in the capital. The duo highlight pieces such as the Terrace Pullover in “Dark Navy/Black/Bottle Green,” the classic WIP vest in “Laurel Camo” and the matching Ashby Parka amongst other staple workwear pieces.
