Caliroots Adds '90s Neon Highlights to Axel Arigato's Technical Marathon Runner
A cycling shirt, bag and socks will join the two retro-inspired pairs.
Stockholm staple Caliroots has been enlisted by fellow Swedes Axel Arigato for a rework of its soon-dropping Marathon Runner silhouette. The pairs are exclusive to Caliroots and sees two ’90s-themed, running-inspired colorways, which will be accompanied by a bum bag, cycling shirt and socks.
The Axel Arigato Marathon Runner uses calf leather and features wide-weave mesh paneling throughout its upper. For the collaboration, Caliroots delivers pairs in white and grey with “Slime Green” and yellow accents respectively.
Joining the sneakers are the aforementioned socks, as well as the shirt, which features an all-over print of runners in a marathon. A dual-branded “Slime Green” bag with double-front pockets rounds off the collaborative capsule.
The sneakers and the accompanying capsule were captured by the Lagos-based photographer Stephen Tayo, which you can see in the gallery above. Head to Caliroots’ Stockholm store on May 29 to pick up your pair in person, or visit its website on May 31 for the collaboration’s second drop.
