RIMOWA Launches New Range of Colorful Suitcases

Four colors inspired by remote locations.

RIMOWA has unveiled a new collection of colorful suitcases, seeing four new tones added to its Essential Cabin, Essential Check-In L and Essential Trunk Plus models. The four colors have been taken directly from remote areas normally seen from plane windows, described by the label as “fleeting impressions of secluded places so often passed over that still beg to be visited.”

The different color options include “Coral” — inspired by Pink Lake in Western Australia — as well as “Slate” (based on the hues of Indonesian mines), “Sage” (a reference to the Lake District in North West England) and, lastly, a “Saffron” yellow taken from the canola flowers of Tuscany. These colors appear across each suitcase, covering the handle, zipper, badge and wheel housing, to give each item a monochrome look.

All four colorways for all of the RIMOWA Essential sizes will release via the brand’s stores and RIMOWA.com on June 6. The Essental Cabin will be priced at $700 USD, with the Check-In L set to cost $900 USD and the Trunk Plus priced at $1,120 USD.

In other design news, THE NORTH FACE’s Geodome 4 Tent has finally released globally.
