Tom Sachs Spotted in a Crocs-Like Nike Sneaker
The artist’s take on the Solarsoft Sandals.
During the opening of his “Tea Ceremony” exhibition at the Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery, famed artist Tom Sachs was spotted in an interesting pair of sneakers.
Upon closer look, we can see the Crocs-like slip-on shoe is a take on the Nike Solarsoft Sandals. The shoe is done in a vibrant mustard yellow and features perforations at the toe accompanied by an upper strap portion and a sculpted sole section. Branding comes in the form of a Swooshes at the midfoot and “NIKE” at the rear. Additionally, light brown straps similar to the ones found on the Tom Sachs x Nike Mars Yard Overshoe are tacked onto the shoe.
No word yet on if this is an official collaboration just yet, but the shoe was on display as part of the ”Tea Ceremony” exhibition. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
