TIME magazine has released its annual list of the 100 Most Influential People for 2019, naming celebrities and athletes including Ariana Grande, LeBron James, Tiger Woods, Spike Lee and more. The line-up is sectioned into five categories — Pioneers, Artists, Leaders, Icons and Titans — with each influencer having been interviewed by fellow industry leaders.

In addition to James and Woods, notable sports figures include Japanese-American tennis sensation Naomi Osaka and Egyptian soccer star Mohamed Salah. Osaka’s last year has been defined by breakout moments, including becoming the first Asian player to hold the WTA’s No. 1 ranking and recently signing an endorsement deal with Nike. Salah, considered one of the best football players in the world, is a force all his own and has starred in campaigns for major brands including Pepsi and adidas outside of his athletic pursuits.

Lauded fashion creatives have also been included in this year’s roster, namely Givenchy’s Claire Waight Keller and Valentino’s Pierpaolo Piccioli. Keller joined the French house as artistic director in 2017, and has since spearheaded the brand’s refreshing contemporary aesthetic and launched products such as the avant-garde Jaw Sneaker. Alongside serving as creative director for the Italian label, Piccioli keeps busy as a part of the innovative Moncler Genius design collective.
