Reese Cooper Debuts Workwear-Inspired Barneys-Exclusive Collection
“Against the Wind” visits Californian landscapes and the remote West.
Reese Cooper has debuted an exclusive Pre-Fall 2019 collection at Barneys New York, dubbed “Against the Wind.” The new range issues a fresh array of outerwear, sweatshirts, T-shirts and trousers in line with Cooper’s street-ready workwear aesthetic.
Coined “Against the Wind,” the collection sees Reese Cooper look to Californian landscapes for inspiration and features graphics referencing dusty forgotten towns and the wild west. All of Reese Cooper’s garments are made in LA from premium heavy-weight fabrics informed by his personal style and life — realized by external care tags stitched with the collection’s theme.
Standout pieces from the special Pre-Fall 2019 collection include the selection of cotton twill workwear-indebted jackets. Available in black and a washed out denim-blue hue, the jackets, a key component of Cooper’s label, come complete with the Californian designer’s signature metal hook detailing and a cropped cut. Elsewhere, a number of graphic-heavy T-shirts and hoodies in autumnal hues such as “Dust” and “Dark Green” complement a selection of washed-out, rugged work pants. Cooper’s staple industrial belt grounds the blue collar-indebted drop.
