Neymar Jr. Teases Collaborative Nike Shox R4 Sneakers
An unexpected silhouette for the PSG star.
Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar Jr. recently showcased an off-kilter Nike collaboration on social media. As seen on his Instagram, the legendary forward has linked up with the sportswear giant for a duo of bespoke Nike Shox R4 models.
The unconventional retro sneaker has enjoyed a modest revival in the past few months, and these special models are likely to spark even more Shox interest as the original silhouette turns 19 years old this year. Neymar Jr.’s collaborative revisions include an all-white and highly-contrasted black/silver/yellow/red gradient iteration, each replete with “NEYMAR” emblazoned on the tongue beneath a playful twist on the familiar Shox “S” logo, turned on its side to read “N.”
While the white silhouette sports a line of Swooshes down the lateral side, the gradient-hued sneaker sports a single Swoosh and bi-color “NIKE SHOX” branding in yellow and red. Red shock absorbers in the heel of both sneakers add a splash of color, with tonal flat laces (black on the gradient pair and white on the other pair) to keep the shoes’ colorways in check.
