You Can Stream Donald Glover's 'Guava Island' For Free This Weekend
Starring Rihanna.
Fans have been anticipating the release of Guava Island, an hour long film from Donald Glover, since it leaked last year that he was filming with Rihanna in Cuba. Not only is the wait finally over, but the public will also have the chance to stream the movie for free. For 18 hours this weekend, Guava Island will be available on Amazon Prime Video and on Amazon’s Twitch platform.
The movie premiered last week at Coachella and stars Rihanna and Glover, alongside Letitia Wright and Nonso Anozie. Glover kept the crew close knit for this project: the thriller was written by his brother Stephen and directed by his longtime collaborator Hiro Murai. Shot mostly in Havana, the storyline follows Glover’s character as he attempts to throw a festival for his community.
Guava Island will be streaming for free on Amazon Prime Video beginning at 12:01 A.M. P.T. on Saturday, April 13. It will also be available on Amazon’s Twitch platform and Coachella’s YouTube channel beginning at 5 P.M. P.T. on Saturday, April 13. If you miss the free stream, which ends at at 5 P.M. on April 13, you can still catch the movie exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
