SPOILER ALERT: For those who haven’t seen last night’s premiere, small details are revealed in the video and in the context below.

Last night the first episode of Game of Thrones season 8 debuted on HBO and following its airing a new “Inside The Episode” was released, showcasing the show creator’s thoughts on the characters and overall plot. In many ways, this episode, titled “Winterfell,” is a spiritual successor to the show’s pilot episode “Winter Is Coming.”

Instead of King Robert and Queen Cersei, Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen arrive in the courtyard instead. It’s also mentioned that Tyrion would have gotten a much warmer reception from Sansa if he’d arrived alone instead of with the Queen of Dragons. They also talk about how the reunions in this episodes set up more than enough strife in the future in regards to the literal Game of Thrones.

Check out the footage above and check out the next episode of Game of Thrones next Sunday.

In other GoT news, the preview for episode 2 has released.
