Allison Williams Is a Troubled Musical Prodigy in Netflix's Bizarre Horror 'The Perfection'
“It’s time to face the music.”
Netflix has no doubt been amplifying its Original content as of late with a recent focus on the horror genre. After sharing a look at how an organ donation can turn out to be for the worst in Chambers, the streaming giant now places Get Out and Girls star Allison Williams in the leading role for its upcoming truly bizarre horror flick, The Perfection.
In the new trailer just shared moments ago, Williams’ character is shown on a hike with a friend (Logan Browning, Dear White People) who starts to panic when her arms looks to be infected with cockroaches. Conveniently, and oddly, Williams offers her a rusty cleaver to hack off her arm. The visuals then feature bizarre scenes intertwined with creepy violin plucks. According to the streaming platform, the film is about “a troubled musical prodigy (Allison Williams) who seeks out the new star pupil of her former school (Logan Browning) with shocking consequences.”
The Perfection made its debut at the Fantastic Fest in 2018 with critics claiming it to be a “masterful work of tension and brutality” and “the hottest film you’ve probably never heard of.”
Directed by Richard Shepard and co-written by Nicole Snyder and Eric C. Charmelo, The Perfection lands on Netflix May 24.
