Blueface Stocks Up on Blue Shoes on 'Sneaker Shopping'
Reflecting on his football career and budding success.
On the latest episode of Sneaker Shopping, Joe La Puma is joined by LA’s Blueface. The 22-year old rapper reflects on his high school football career highlights and his favorite sneaker silhouette: Nike’s Huarache.
Despite his youth, Blueface has already experienced major success with his single “Thotiana,” which recently peaked at #8 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. With the G-Eazy, YG & ALLBLACK collaboration, “West Coast,” under his belt, Blueface took a victory lap at Flight Club to pick up some new shoes.
Balancing his love for fast cars with a love of sneakers, Blueface admits that both passions pale in comparison to his adoration of jewelry. “The jewelry is probably [the thing] I spend the most on at one time,” he says. Still, key Nike silhouettes retain a permanent position in the rapper’s heart, including the Cortez and Air Force 1. “[the] Cortez was poppin’ at one time,” notes Blueface, making the first of several mentions for his favorite colorway: blue, naturally.
