After joining the brand at just 14-years-old, Blondey McCoy has announced that he is no longer representing Palace Skateboards. The 21-year-old shared the update on Instagram yesterday, detailing in a lengthy caption that his tenure of seven years has come to an end.

“In a sense, the company and I have grown up together, with the stories of our formative years intertwined and dependent upon each other. But now the time has come for us to part and pursue our separate futures. Needless to say, I will be forever appreciative of the upbringing and opportunities with which Palace has provided me,” said McCoy.

He adds that he will always “love and support” the label to the “fullest degree.”

McCoy launched his independent namesake collection in the fall, which spans streetwear staples such as graphic hoodies and T-shirts. The designer expanded the range this spring with the debut of his “Blondey” sunglasses line.

The skater-turned-artist also joined HYPEBEAST’s DIARIES series earlier this year, where he discussed what his experience has been like riding for the label. Scroll above to check out the full video.
